We reply fast. No pressure.

Floors look expensive or cheap based on two things, and neither of them is the flooring you bought. The first is how flat the subfloor is under it. The second is what happens at the doorways.

We check and level before anything goes down, and we cut around vents, jambs and transitions instead of covering the gap with a strip of trim.

Baseboards come off and go back on, or get replaced — your call, and it's on the price list either way.

Proudly serving Palatine and the NW suburbs: Arlington Heights, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, Prospect Heights, Mount Prospect, Barrington, Des Plaines, Wheeling, Buffalo Grove, Rolling Meadows, Elgin and Vernon Hills.

FAQ

Do you move furniture?

We can, but it affects time and pricing. We’ll confirm what needs to be moved and protected during the estimate.

Do you remove and reinstall baseboards?

Yes. Depending on condition we can remove/reinstall or install new trim for a clean finished look.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. After a walkthrough we provide a clear scope and proposal.

Do I need to leave the house?

Usually not. We work room by room where the layout allows, protect what stays, and keep the house livable. Say up front if there are rooms you can't lose.

Do you move furniture?

We can, and it affects the price and the schedule. We'll confirm at the walkthrough what's moving and what you'd rather handle yourself.

My floor squeaks. Does new flooring fix that?

No. New flooring on top of a squeaky subfloor gives you a squeaky new floor. Squeaks are a fastening problem underneath and they get addressed during prep, before anything goes down.

LVP, laminate or engineered hardwood?

Depends on the room, not the trend. Basements and anything below grade — LVP, for the moisture. Main-level living space with no pets and no water — engineered hardwood still looks and feels better than anything else at that price. We'll tell you which we'd put in our own house.
