We reply fast. No pressure.

We came to painting from finish carpentry, which changes the order of operations. Patch, sand, spot-prime and caulk the trim gaps first — then paint. A wall that got two coats over an unsanded patch looks worse in raking light than it did before.

Floors get covered and furniture gets protected before the first can opens. That's part of the scope, not a favour.

Proudly serving Palatine and the NW suburbs: Arlington Heights, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, Prospect Heights, Mount Prospect, Barrington, Des Plaines, Wheeling, Buffalo Grove, Rolling Meadows, Elgin and Vernon Hills.

  • Cover floors & protect furniture as needed
  • Surface prep (patching, sanding, spot priming)
  • Caulking for trim gaps (when applicable)
  • Clean cut lines (tape as needed)
  • 2-coat finish system (most projects)
  • Clean-up + walkthrough

What typically affects the final price

  • Wall condition (repairs, nail pops, cracks)
  • Number of rooms & ceiling height
  • Trim/doors quantity and detail level
  • Color changes (dark-to-light / stain blocking)
  • Occupied vs empty home (move/cover time)
  • Cabinet painting vs standard walls

Paint & materials: can be client-supplied or quoted separately depending on your brand/finish preferences.

For cabinet painting we use more durable systems and a tighter prep/finish process — pricing depends heavily on doors/drawers count.

If these ranges align with your expectations, we’d be happy to schedule an on-site walkthrough and provide a detailed proposal.

FAQ

Is paint included?

It can be either way. Some homeowners prefer supplying paint; others want us to quote materials. We’ll confirm your preferred brand and finish during the estimate.

How do you protect floors and furniture?

We cover floors and mask as needed, and we keep a clean work zone. Protection is part of the scope — not an afterthought.

Do you do cabinet painting?

Yes, case-by-case. Cabinet painting requires a more durable coating system and more prep time. We’ll price it based on doors/drawers count and condition.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. After a quick walkthrough, we provide a clear scope and proposal.

Do you supply the paint?

Either way works. Some homeowners want a specific brand and buy it themselves; others want it quoted. Tell us your brand and finish preference at the estimate.

Going from a dark colour to a light one — does that cost more?

Yes, and it's worth knowing before you pick the colour. Dark-to-light usually needs a stain-blocking primer and sometimes a third coat. It's on the list of things that move the final number.

Can you paint kitchen cabinets?

Case by case, and it's priced separately from wall painting because it's a different coating system and much more prep. Pricing depends on the door and drawer count. See the Kitchens & Cabinets page.

Will you paint around us while we live here?

Yes. That's most of our work. Say which rooms you need functional each evening and we'll sequence around them.
